Ian Mattox, Owner
Ian Mattox began his career in tax preparation in 2004. His desire to help people navigate the complexities of tax law, and to work with numbers was great. Over the years, he has had the privilege of helping thousands of people and businesses with their tax preparation and accounting needs. In 2015, Ian moved back to his hometown of Bourbon and decided to start his own accounting firm. He wanted to keep it local and to help the residents of Bourbon and the surrounding communities, so he opened Precision Accounting & Tax Preparation LLC at 251 E. Pine St. in Bourbon. Over the many years, Ian has enjoyed helping in areas of tax law that are misunderstood or handled incorrectly, such as the American Opportunity Credit, the rules and exceptions of automobile expenses for small businesses, special situations regarding children and claiming the credits associated with them, and much more. Melissa Ducote, Bookkeeping
Melissa began her career in bookkeeping working for a family-owned business here in Bourbon in 2006 out of necessity and ended up loving the work so much that she continued to work at improving her skills, working for that company for over a decade. She then decided to take her love for small businesses, and desire to help them thrive, and move to Precision Accounting & Tax Preparation LLC. She has enjoyed serving the community here since 2020.
